As the inaugural volume of The Graces series, this cover needed to establish the overall series atmosphere while standing confidently on its own. Given the romance genre, we aimed to capture the connection between the female and male protagonists through a layered visual approach—the male figure appears as an outline, with the female character gazing through this silhouette directly at the reader. The floral motifs reinforce the romantic theme and genre expectations.
Arjan is one of the most, if not THE MOST, creative, artistic, imaginative people I've ever worked with. He is a fabulous, talented artist who creates fabulous, eye—catching book designs which have drawn rave reviews from readers. Besides that, Arjan is a warm, funny, and delightful person who is generous with helpful advice as I learn to navigate the publishing world. He also does a fabulous job designing the interiors.
